IRON NEST Roadmap
Separate shipped updates, announced directions and community speculation.
Evidence map reviewed: Aug 9, 2026
Only official announcements, FAQ statements and developer videos are treated as confirmed roadmap evidence.
Three evidence states
Shipped means the feature appears in the current release or patch notes. Announced means the developer has publicly discussed it. Speculation means the idea comes only from players.
What is already shipped
Version 1.0 launched on PC as a full release rather than Early Access. The current game includes a story campaign, replayable challenge missions, procedural variation, unlockable ammunition and reconnaissance abilities, achievements and leaderboards. These are present-release features, not roadmap promises.
Post-launch direction
The launch announcement names the following directions: more content, more missions, more skirmish modes, additional features, more music, eventual multiplayer and a larger expansion. The FAQ also says post-launch development is intended to include free content and expansions.
Those statements establish intent, but they do not give a patch order, final feature list or delivery date. In particular, “eventually multiplayer” should not be converted into a guessed month.
Platform plans
The FAQ says PC comes first, with major console ports planned a few months later. A VR version is also planned, but the stated priority order is PC, then console ports, then VR. These are planning statements and remain subject to official updates.
Separate co-op project
The developers also describe a standalone co-op game for multiple Operators aboard the same platform, currently planned for late 2027 or early 2028. That project is separate from multiplayer planned for Heavy Turret Simulator itself.
Update policy
This page changes only after an official announcement, FAQ revision, patch note or developer video. Community requests can show demand, but they never move into the confirmed column. A feature moves from announced to shipped only when players can access it in a released build.
